Vivo’s latest flagship smartphone, the Vivo X80 Pro, was launched in India alongside the Vivo X80. A watered-down version of the Vivo X80. In April 2022, the Vivo X80 series was released in China.
In China, the Vivo X80 Pro is available in two versions: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000. The Vivo X80 Pro is only available in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Due to the lack of a Pro+ variant this year, the Vivo X80 Pro will be the company’s highest-end model.
The Vivo X80 Pro comes with a curved Samsung AMOLED LTPO display, a 120Hz refresh rate, a quad-camera setup, fast wired and wireless charging, as well as water and dust resistance.
Vivo X80 Pro Features, Specifications
The Vivo X80 Pro comes with a large, curved Samsung E5 AMOLED display with LTPO, QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 92 percent and a screen aspect ratio of 20:9.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, built on Samsung Foundry’s 4nm fabrication process, powers the device. It features a 27-layer vapor chamber cooling system to keep the Snapdragon at optimal temperatures. It has 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
At the back of the Vivo, X80 Pro is a quad-camera setup. It features India’s first 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). A 48MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, a 12MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP telephoto snapper with 5x optical zoom and OIS are among the supporting cameras. The phone has Zeiss optics and a glare-reducing lens coating.
The cameras also support Vivo’s V1+ custom-designed image processing chip, which supports night video bokeh and a variety of other imaging features. The rear cameras can shoot 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. It has a 32MP front-facing camera that can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second for selfie fans.
Dual-SIM 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 2.0 port, NFC, stereo speakers, and IP68 water and dust resistance are just a few of the Vivo X80 Pro’s notable features. Vivo used an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, which outperforms optical fingerprint readers on less expensive devices.
A 4,700mAh battery powers the phone and allows for 80W wired fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging. FunTouch OS 12 is installed on top of Android 12 on the Vivo X80 Pro.
Vivo X80 Pro Price In India, Availability
In India, the Vivo X80 Pro costs Rs. 79,999 and comes in a single variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Pre-orders for the phone begin today, with the phone going on sale on May 25, 2022. It’s available from Flipkart, Vivo’s website, and retailers across India. It’s only available in one color: Cosmic Black.
