The new OnePlus Nord 2T is expected to be released soon, according to rumors. Here’s what we know about the Android phone in the mid-range.
OnePlus is rumored to be on the approach of unveiling the first T-model for its Nord line of inexpensive handsets. Here’s all we know about the OnePlus Nord 2T so far.
When will the OnePlus Nord 2T be available for purchase?
Although OnePlus hasn’t confirmed a launch date for the new Nord 2T, some websites are speculating that it will arrive in April or May. The date comes from famed tech tipster OnLeaks, who collaborated with Indian tech site 91Mobiles to give information about the new gadget.
The original OnePlus Nord 2 5G was released at the end of July 2021. Thus an April/May release date doesn’t seem out of the question.
Price of the OnePlus Nord 2T?
According to current rumors, OnePlus will sell the Nord 2T in India for between 30,000 and 40,000 rupees. This is roughly equivalent to £300-£400, €350-€480, and US$400-$530. We expect a few variations, as the OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes in the following configurations:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: £469/€499/₹34,999/$629
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: £399/€399/₹29,999/$529
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹27,999
The Nord 2T is likely to be priced similarly to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and any prospective successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. As it must fit into the broader structure of OnePlus phones, which includes the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and any potential successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.
Will the OnePlus Nord 2T have any new features?
OnePlus has yet to confirm the Nord 2T, but rumors have revealed a lot about what to expect when the new model is unveiled.
Processor
According to rumors, OnePlus will most likely use the brand new Dimensity 1300 chipset in the Nord 2T. Because MediaTek altered the previous design for more power, this will be a step up from the Dimensity 1200 in the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
It’s also likely that the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage will help. OxygenOS 12 will be the operating system of choice, based on Android 12.
Display
The Nord 2T is rumored to sport a 6.43in Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080, just like the model it replaces. A 90Hz refresh rate will keep things flowing smoothly. However, potential gamers may be disappointed that it lacks the 120Hz capabilities of certain rival phones.
Camera systems
On the back of most mid-range Android phones these days, triple optics are pretty much normal. So it’s no surprise that the Nord 2T is supposed to have a 50-megapixel main camera. As well as 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel monochrome (probably for depth) sensors. The front camera will use a punch-hole in the display to capture photographs with a 32MP sensor.
Because the camera configuration is the same as on the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, expect similar performance and capability in the camera department.
Charging & Battery
A 4,500mAh battery and compatibility for 80w SuperVOOC fast-charging, which is the same speed as the OnePlus 10 Pro. Are rumored to be among the new phone’s highlights. It won’t have the 150W SuperVOOC charging that sibling company Oppo unveiled at MWC 2022 because it isn’t a flagship.
