A new tablet from Xiaomi has recently been launched for the Indian market. The Livestream firm hosted the online debut of the Redmi Pad tablet. Let’s take a look at its price, features, design, and other aspects. For the price range, it has many excellent features.

Design & Display

The new Redmi Pad’s design is important to the Chinese tech giant. It is equally as light as the Apple iPad Air at just 465 grams. The smartphone sports a metal unibody design on the back made of an alloy of magnesium and aluminum. The upper left corner of the back also houses a camera module. Additionally, there are other color possibilities for the Redmi Pad, including Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.

The front, meanwhile, features a huge 10.6-inch IPS LCD panel with over 1 billion color options. This monitor features a 90Hz adaptive sync refresh rate and a 2K resolution of 2000 by 1200 pixels. The maximum brightness of this model is 400 nits. Widevine L1 certification on the display guarantees that users can access higher resolutions on renowned OTT services like Netflix. Even the eye protection is approved by TUV Rheinland and SGS.

Specs & Features

A 6nm-based MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which is making its debut with the recently unveiled tablet, powers the Redmi Pad’s internal components. This chipset is designed to provide an excellent gaming experience. The new Xiaomi tablet should provide a better gaming experience because tablets typically have an obsolete chipset. Additionally, the gadget has up to 128GB of internal storage, which can be increased to 1TB using a microSD card slot, and up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The Redmi Pad has a quad-speaker system for audio, which also supports Dolby Atmos. It can even be used with the majority of third-party capacitive styli and pencils, according to official notes. It is powered by a huge 8,000mAh battery pack that enables 18W quick charging. Other features include Bluetooth 5.3 support, Dual-band WiFi 5, and connectivity in addition to the Android 12 OS, which is available out of the box.

Pricing & Availability

There are three storage configurations and three color options for the Redmi Pad. There are three versions of this: 3GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB. The cost of the entry-level model is 14,999 INR, the 4GB model is 17,999 INR, and the flagship model is 19,999 INR. Notably, the premium 6GB edition is the only one that offers the Mint Green color choice.

Notably, Xiaomi is launching all three varieties at a discounted price, which lowers the cost of each model. The 3GB + 64GB variant is now priced at 12,999 INR, followed by the 4GB + 128GB version at 14,999 INR, and the 6GB + 128GB variant at 17,999 INR. It’s interesting to note that the business is furthermore providing a 10% discount via special bank deals on Mi.com. As a result, the corresponding price is now 11,700, 13,500, or 15,300 INR.

The Redmi Pad will launch a special early bird sale for its premium Mint Green variant on October 5, 2022, at 10 a.m. on Mi.com. All the other variations, on the other hand, will start selling on October 5 at noon and go on sale at that time as well. However, this model will be sold on Flipkart, Mi Home, and even in a few retail outlets.
