If you use Twitter, you’re probably aware that you can pin any tweet to your profile. This pinned tweet will remain at the top of your Twitter timeline at all times. The pinned tweet will appear first on anyone visiting your profile, followed by the rest of your tweets and retweets.
It’s simple to pin your tweet by tapping the three-dot menu right beside it and selecting “Pin to Profile” from the menu. The tweet will then appear at the top of your Twitter account.
But what if you want to pin a tweet from someone else or any tweet that matters? You can’t directly pin another person’s tweet to your profile on Twitter. There are, however, a few workarounds that allow you to pin any tweets to your profile. The following steps will show you how to pin any tweet to your Twitter profile.
How do I pin a twitter tweet?
- METHOD 1: retweet method
You can pin other people’s tweets to your Twitter profile using this Twitter hack. The procedure is simple to follow. All you have to do is quote someone’s tweet and retweet it on Twitter. When you quote a tweet on Twitter, the original tweet is automatically attached to the quoted tweet. When you pin that tweet to your Twitter timeline, the original tweet will appear alongside it.
Here’s how to go about it:
- Find the tweet you’d like to save to your Twitter profile. Then, from the menu, select “Quote Tweet” from the “Retweet” button.
- Type something that says “Add a comment” on the next screen, then press the “Tweet” button to send that tweet to your timeline.
- Go to your Twitter profile page, tap the three-dot menu on the tweet you just quoted, select “Pin to Profile,” and then tap “Pin” to permanently pin that tweet to the top of your Twitter profile.
That’s how you use the retweet method to pin another person’s tweet to your profile. The only disadvantage of this method is that you must retweet the tweet with the quote before you can pin it.
However, there is another way to pin a Tweet to your Twitter timeline. To do so, you’ll need to use a third-party website that allows you to pin any tweet twitter without retweeting it.
- METHOD 2: APPLICATION OF TWTOOLS (OR TWITTER TOOLS)
Application of TwTools (or Twitter tools)
TwTools is pinned tweet tool, and this is a third-party website that provides a number of Twitter tools, including Pin Any Tweet, Welcome Message, and RT Cleaner. For this tutorial, we’ll use tw tools pin any tweet or someone else’s tweet to your Twitter profile.
Let’s look at how you can use TWTools to pin any tweet on Twitter.
- First, copy the tweet link you want to pin to your Twitter timeline and double-check that you haven’t already retweeted it. When a tweet is retweeted, the Retweet button turns green. Undo this by pressing the “Retweet” button again and selecting “Undo Retweet.”
- Now, on your browser, go to the TwTools website and click the big “PIN ANY TWEET” button.
- On the next page, tap “Allow Access” and then “Authorize App” to give TwTools permission to access your Twitter account.
- The website will reload after successful authorization. We can paste the Tweet link we copied in Step 1 into this text box. Tap the blue “Pin this tweet” button after pasting the link into the text box.
- “It’s done!” will appear as a confirmation message. Go to your Twitter profile right now and you’ll see the aforementioned Tweet at the top of your timeline.
This method does, however, have a few drawbacks. Because we’re using a third-party tool, I recommend removing TwTools access from your Twitter account after you’ve pinned your tweet.
TwTools permissions must be revoked from your Twitter account.
To access the hamburger menu on your Twitter mobile app, tap on your profile picture at the top. Under “Security and account access,” go to “Settings and Privacy > Security and account access > Apps and sessions > Connected apps.”
Select “TwTools Eu” from the Connected apps menu, then “Revoke app permissions” to prevent TwTools from accessing your Twitter account.
If you’re using Twitter on a computer or a web browser, click this link to see all of your connected apps. After that, revoke the “TwTools Eu” permission.
Use TwTools to remove the pinned tweets.
TwTools access will not be removed if you remove or revoke it. It will remain pinned to your Twitter profile as long as the original tweet is still active.
If you want to delete a TwTools-pinned tweet, click the “Retweet” button below the pinned Tweet and then select the “Undo retweet” option. Alternatively, pinning another Tweet will replace the current pinned Tweet because you can only pin one tweet at a time.

So that wraps up our tutorial on how to pin a Tweet from someone else to your Twitter profile. Until Twitter adds that option to the Twitter app/website, you can use this guide to complete your task. For most people, retweeting is a viable option because it does not require the use of a third-party tool. TwTools, on the other hand, is a better way to pin someone’s tweet.
