GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE-
Google search console is a dashboard that is provided for Google publishers. So that they can easily review the keyword traffic, indexing problems, and any other information that is useful for the publishers. Therefore, this is very much useful during the Google algorithm update. Hence, the information through Google search console will be useful in identifying improvements or issues during an algorithm update.

CORE ALGORITHM UPDATES AND GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE-
During the core algorithm update, ranking and traffic data will tend to be in flux, and the search results ranking change. Is Google Search Console affected by the Broad Core Updates?

After this tweet of the search marketer John Mueller said that there is no connection between Broad core update and Google search console data. So, in simple and easy words it means that whatever lag in data one may perceive. Therefore, it is not caused by any of the particular broad core updates. So, there is no need to worry because they both do not have any connection.
Hence, it is understandable that the search marketer would desire GSC data on a timely basis during an update. Moreover, it is confirmed that there is no Google search console lag introduced by broad core updates.
GOOGLE RANKING ALGORITHM AND OTHER LEFTOVERS-
