What do you mean by Coronavirus?

According to researches, doctors have made a point that this is a respiratory disease and breathing mechanism is the first thing that gets affected in this disease. Ergo, this is a disease having no vaccine yet but some of the cases are curable by providing them warm and humid temperature. Furthermore, researchers said that this is disease having four stages- Imported Cases, Local Transmission, Community Transmission, and Epidemic. Let’s talk about these stages in detail.

  1. Imported Cases- This is the first and starting stage of Coronavirus, in this stage, only those people are affected who are having any kind of travel history. Or you can say that this is the stage in which people coming from affected places suffer from this disease.
  2. Local Transmission- This is the second stage of Coronavirus, in this stage the relatives of an infected person get affected. In simple words, the family members and the nearby people are affected by the disease in this stage.
  3. Community Transmission- This is the third stage of Coronavirus, in this stage all the people living in a particular sector or area gets infected. Moreover, cases of the third stage spread so fast and the death toll also gets increased.
  4. Epidemic- The last and the toughest stage, in this stage the people from one state to another state gets affected. Hopefully, India is in the second stage but if people will not obey the lockdown then it can reach the third stage.

What are the symptoms of coronavirus?

There are some symptoms that will tell you if you are infected with corona or not. Have a look to know about them. According to the “World Health Organization”, the common symptoms of COVID 19 are fever, cough, tiredness and dry cough. But in some cases, there can be nasal problems, runny nose, diarrhea, and aches as well. Let’s discuss when a person should go to the doctor.

  1. High body temperature- If you feel your body hot at chest and forehead, then you should visit a doctor because fever is the first symptom of this virus.
  2. Breathing problem- If you are facing any kind of respiratory problem such as breathing etc. then also you should go to a doctor. Therefore, breathing is one of the major issues if a person is incubated with this virus.
  3. Dry cough- This is also a problem when you should go and visit a doctor. Because coronavirus is a communicable disease and it usually spreads through droplets will sneezing. So, if you are having a dry cough then you should go and get a test done.
  4. Throat aches, body pains, and other throat issues- This can also be a symptom of coronavirus. So, if you are going through any of these problems then it is requested you to go to a doctor before it’s too late.

How does this virus spread from one person to another?

There are so many ways through which this virus gets spread from one place to another. Let’s discuss them in detail.

  1. No proper hygiene- Hygiene plays an important role in spreading any kind of communicable disease. If you are a person who does not worry about your hygiene then you have high chances to suffer from this disease. So, it is recommended to wash hands regularly and change clothes from time to time.
  2. Mass gathering- This is another way through which this disease spreads from person to other. Because in mass we don’t know which person is infected and which not, as it a communicable disease so it spreads through gathering also. So, people are requested to stay away from such mass gatherings these days.
  3. Personal contact- This is another way through which coronavirus disease is spread because when we come in contact with an infected person, then the chances of having a disease is high. The disease can spread through personal contacts such as handshaking and hugs. Ergo, people are requested not to make personal contact in times of such deadly disease.
  4. Contaminated objects- This is also a way of the spread of disease, “WHO” said that this virus needs 12 to 14 hours to multiply and it can be present at any surface. So, they requested people to sanitize their hands if they touch such un-wanted and contaminated objects. Hence, these are the ways through which this deadly disease spread.

What precautions or safety measures should be taken by people?

The safety measures or the precautions taken by people are mentioned below:

  1. People should regularly keep their hands clean. They can do this by washing them regularly with soap or by sanitizing them with an alcohol-based sanitizer.
  2. Everyone should keep their body temperature warm and humid.
  3. People should also change clothes whenever they come home from somewhere. Ergo, they should wash their clothes using Dettol antiseptics or alcohol-based sanitizers.
  4. People should consume lukewarm water instead of cold because this will help in making the water free from impurities.
  5. Social distancing should be maintained. As this is a communicable disease so people are requested to maintain around 1 meter (3 feet) distance from each other.
  6. Eyes, Nose, and Mouth should not be touched frequently because hands can easily contain viruses. Therefore, touching such surfaces can make the virus enter your body. So, it is recommended not to touch eyes, nose, and mouth.
  7. Seek medical care in case you feel sick because sickness can lead to such harmful diseases. Therefore, these are the precautions recommended by the WHO “World Health Organization”.
